Paint, paper flowers and Jute ribbon are skilfully combined on this decorative canvas. Due to the punched out flowers, the vine shown in the picture has a particularly plastic effect and can be easily recreated with these free crafting instructions.
And it's that easy:
Which craft material do I need for the canvas with floral pattern?
The basis is a VBS decorative canvas and a matching set of metal hangers. The blank canvas is decorated with chalky paint in grey and white, with Jute yarn, pink Satin ribbon, a scrapbook block, with a flower punch and with the crystal applicator "crystal pen". You will also need a brush, Paint sponge and a hot glue for crafting.
How do I tinker the canvas with a floral pattern?
The canvas is primed with white Chalky Vintage Look paint. When dry, wipe the canvas with a Paint sponge dark Chalky Vintage Look paint in strips over the canvas surface and put it aside to dry
The paper flowers are punched in different sizes from the Paper of the scrapbook block and glued together with tape. With the Applicator "crystal pen" a Stone is now placed in the middle of each flower.
On the dried canvas the Jute ribbon can be placed to flower tendrils and fixed with hot glue. Afterwards, the finished paper flowers can be arranged on the canvas according to personal taste and also fixed with hot glue.
The metal hanger consists of three parts. The two metal rods can now be put through the sewn loops of the canvas. Fix the metal wall attachment to the wall and simply hang up the finished canvas. To embellish the hangers, long satin ribbons are finally fixed with a bow and decorated with flowers and paper lenses as flower buds. The ribbons then hang loosely from the hanger.
