No matter whether you have a single flower pot, a planter or a floral arrangement. Matching decoration must not be missing to make the whole thing complete. Especially in springtime, there are many possibilities and one of them are these colourful mini birdhouses as flower plugs.
First, divide the round stick according to the number of houses. One stick is enough for 10x 10cm or 8x 12.5cm. If this is too short, you will need more than one rod.
Cut the pieces to size and sand the edges if necessary. Sometimes there may be rough edges on the houses too. If this is the case, sand them once more with the sandpaper.
Then drill a hole in the bottom of the houses with a 6 mm drill and remove the ribbons. You can easily pull them out from the inside, e.g. with tweezers.
Then glue the short sticks into the holes and let the glue dry completely. It will then become transparent.
Then you can paint the houses as you like. Whether it's colourful, tone-in-tone or colour-coordinated, it's up to you.
The houses are now ready for use. However, if you like, you can paint on more details, add bows or ribbons, glue on elements with decoupage, etc.
Once your houses are decorated, they are ready to use.
