In 1986, the Ferrari family took over the Menegolli granulate and marble company. In addition to mining granules and marble powder for industrial use, the parents came up with the idea of producing sand for playful painting activities. Sabbiarelli® stands for special crayons that contain non-toxic sand made from Carrara marble in bright colours.
