Paint the terracotta pots with different craft colours and leave the paint to dry. In our example, we have opted for spring-like pastel colours.
Cut about 20 cm of aluminium wire and attach the 8 mm bead to the end of the wire with a little hot glue. Once dry, thread on two 15 mm beads, then a terracotta pot, followed by a 15 mm bead and another pot - repeat this four times. At this point, knot a piece of warp yarn on the wire to which the wings will later be attached.
Use a Posca marker to draw a face on the 30 mm bead. Thread the painted ball onto the wire and fix it in place with some hot glue.
Bend the excess wire into feelers and attach them to the 30 mm ball using hot glue. Shape the wings with another piece of wire and tie them to the warp yarn. Knot an additional thread underneath the head for the suspension.
