Comfortable cushion in matryoshka look

Bright patterns and above all the colourful matryoshkas characterise the colourful Russian folklore, which is finding more and more friends all over the world. The striking features can also be wonderfully used in modern home decoration and in everyday life.

On the large, inviting pillow the colourful patterned fabric is combined with strong Red . The cushion plate is assembled from six individual parts with only a few seams and is thickly stuffed with filling cotton wool. The decorative buttons and tassels give the cushion a very special look.

It's that simple:

Mirror the template on the dotted line and transfer the resulting shape to Lamp foil . Transfer this Stencil with masking pen 6 times each to the red and patterned fabric and cut it out with the pinking scissors.
Put 2 x 6 blanks alternately plain and patterned together to form the cushion plate, fix everything with Pins and sew together except for one turning opening. Turn the pillow and fill it with cotton wool, close the opening with a mattress stitch.

Make a tassel out of a dock Embroidery twist , for this purpose wrap the Yarn around a 5 x 8 cm large cardboard strip except for a rest of about 40 cm. Fix the wrapping at one end with enough Yarn , knot the ends. Pull the rest of Yarn through the loops and knot it. Cut open the tassels and sew them on the 6 corners of the cushion plate with Embroidery twist .

Cut two circles with Ø 12,5 cm out of the red fabric and topstitch around the edge by hand. Place filling cotton wool on each of the two circles (about the amount of a cover ofIce) and a round blank of Lamp foil (Ø 5.5 cm). Carefully close the quilted seam. Knot the thread and sew it criss-crosswise for more stability.

Finally, sew the resulting decorative buttons in the middle of both sides of the pillow, pulling the pillow together in the middle.
