A birth is a very special occasion - for which you can make beautiful and, above all, personal gifts. In this tutorial you will learn how to make a gift box that can later be used as a keepsake box and a cute card for the birth.

Birth card

1. Print out the free template and transfer the body motif onto different motif card. Cut everything out.

2. Punch out various small motifs using a Sizzix and decorate the shapes with a marker.

You don't have a Sizzix? No problem! Draw different motifs on paper and cut them out.

3. Use craft glue to stick the small motifs onto the bodyshells.

4. Cut a piece of jute ribbon and glue it to the card together with the clothes pegs as a clothesline.

5. Finally, clip the bodysuits onto the clothes pegs and write on the card with a marker.

Gift box for the birth

You can also make a beautiful gift box to go with the card, which can later be used as a keepsake box. For example, the new parents can keep the bracelet from the hospital, the first tooth or the first lock of hair in the box.

1. Choose a motif paper and cut it to the size of the folding box. Use craft glue to stick the paper in place.

2. Cut out two squares of different paper and glue them onto the box as decorations.

3. Punch out various small motifs using a Sizzix and glue them on with craft glue.

You don't have a Sizzix? No problem! Draw different motifs on paper and cut them out.

4. Finally, you can write on the gift box with a marker.

5. Cut a piece of jute twine and glue it around the lettering on the box as a decoration.
