Hausnummer im Mosaik-Design

The old art of mosaic laying has lost none of its fascination to this day, but with new elements it is given a modern face. On this shield, different mosaic stones are combined with coloured wire and cut glass beads. So everyone is guaranteed to find the right address.

Here's how it works

The sign is first primed in white. Bend the decorative aluminium wire into loops and glue it with small dots from the glue gun as a curled "frame" on the sign.

Draw your shark number with Strich-Ex on the sign and position mosaic stones to the numbers, stick them on with silicone glue. Draw a border for the "inner" mosaic design.

Apply the silicone glue along the wire loops, place the mini-Mosaic stones . Then gradually cover the areas inwards and up to the edge of the sign with more stones. Each stone is fixed with silicone glue. This should always be moist when applying. Therefore it is recommended to always apply the adhesive to only small areas and not to apply it to the entire sign. Tip: When placing the stones, make sure that they are not placed too close together. It makes it easier to grout afterwards if the gaps (joints) are at least 1 mm wide.

Fill the inner colour delimiting area with crackle mosaic. Fix this with silicone glue. With the Crackle Mosaic, it is possible to remove and lay on connected parts completely from the Crackle plate (protect your hands from cuts). The pieces are then beaten with the Crackle beater until the plate tears open.
Let the silicone glue dry for about 24 hours

Now stir the powder from Joint Filler into water until a consistency similar to a firm cake dough is obtained. Our tip: Use little water at first and add it later if necessary. In this way you avoid that Joint Filler becomes too thin.

Apply the Joint Filler generously to the entire mosaic with a stirring wood or a brush until the joints are evenly filled. After approx. 20 hours drying time, wipe over the mosaic surface with a damp sponge (always wash the sponge out in between). This will spread the dried Joint Filler further and clean the mosaic. After another 24 hours wipe everything with a damp sponge again and finally polish with a soft cloth.
