Set bright highlights and give your patio or garden decoration a colourful, fairytale and personal touch.

Illuminated toadstools are a creative tinkering with rose pots, LED light chains and Acrylic-shapes that will put you in a good mood. A lucky devil, who calls this imaginative decoration his own.

To give the mushrooms a firm stand Terracotta pots are ideal. Paint the rose pots with the weatherproof Acrylic paint Patio Paint in the colour white. After drying, the pots are placed with the opening facing down. Now hide the cables of the fairy lights under each pot and pull the lights through the hole of the rose pot.

Tip: Pay attention to the size - the lights of the fairy lights should fit through easily. When pulling the lights through, make sure that the smooth side of the cutting discs is at the bottom. This is the only way you can put the matching half Acrylic balls on as a head later. Arrange the lamps on the cutting discs and fix them with hot glue.

For example, use pliers to separate the suspension eyes of the Acrylic balls. Tear off the Straw silk paper (also known under the term Japanese silk) into small pieces and stick them with Napkin varnish onto the Acrylic-ball halves. Make sure that you start with the white Japanese silk first, in order to set the dots typical for toadstools.

Use hot glue to glue the cutting discs and ball halves together to form mushroom heads and fix them to the rose pots.

Extra handicraft tip: A hot glue gun should not be missing in any handicraft site. Hot glue is a universally applicable tool - ideal for creative handicraft work.
