Recipe for approx. 1 litre DIY ketchup
You need
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 small onions, make about 100 g peeled onions
- 1 kg tomatoes
- 1 small Avocado
- 140 g 2-fold tomato paste concentrate
Spices - 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worchester Sauce
Peel the onions
and chop them into small fine cubes. Put the
tomatoes in boiling water, take them out again and let them cool down in cold water. This way you can easily peel the Skin tomatoes with a knife. Cut them into small cubes as well.
Put the cooking oil in a saucepan and glaze the onions until they are lightly browned. Add the tomatoes. Add the meat from a small Avocado in addition. Mix everything with 140 g tomato paste concentrate.
Heat the mixture and puree it
Season your tomato puree with salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar and Worchester Sauce and mix well. Pour the ketchup into the ironing bottles.
