Maritime Stretcher Arrangement

Small becomes big - this also applies to our maritime Stretched Canvas-arrangement. We use an unusual image as a motif, which we enlarge proportionally and then transfer to the 15 x 15 cm Stretched Canvas (see template) and colour it in.

The special highlight is the painting with Structure Paste directly from a Liner vials. A great effect with a touch of extravagance! The small Stretched Canvas are fixed in the background by a Painting board 50 x 70 cm and can thus be hung up as a total work of art.

Picture reliefs by Structure Paste

Delete Structure Paste on eight of Stretched Canvas . After drying, transfer the motifs from template sheet and trace the contours with Structure Paste (see right). Allow the contours to dry thoroughly and then work out the details. You will succeed best if you put a little Structure Paste in the gaps and work in fine grooves with a shashlik skewer.

Sketching the giant clam

For the rest of Stretched Canvas , transfer the grid template of the Nautilus from template sheet. Place all Stretched Canvas as a grid in front of you, fix it on the work surface with masking tape if possible, so that you can transfer the large element of Sea shell to all Stretched Canvas in the best possible way.

Colour design of the Stretched Canvas

For the picture relief -Stretched Canvas with Structure Paste, mix Metallic Effect paint in Yellow and Blue and lighten a part of this mixture with Art Metal Silver . With this you paint the whole Stretched Canvas. After drying you emphasize the maritime motives with the darker color mixture

Paint the "background"-Painting board with a muted turquoise shade: mix primary blue with some Sienna fired (3:1) and lighten this mixture with Sand on. For the background of the Nautilus, use primary blue with a lot Sand, for the Nautilus itself only Sand .

From Acrylic paint in primary blue and Sienna baked (mixing ratio 1:1) mix a grey-black. Use this once with Sand mixed for the shadows of Sea shell on the other hand for the dark areas of the shell center. Here you add more and more primary blue and later Sand is added, a soft colour gradient is created. Around the middle you set accents with a fine brush in Sienna, gebr. - the pattern is created with a Round brushes in Umbra, gebr. painted

Stretched Canvas arrange and hang up

After drying, place the Stretched Canvas at regular intervals on the Painting board and glue it on with Effekt-Glue. This glue fixes the Stretched Canvas particularly firmly. In the liquid condition the individual Stretched Canvas can be however still very comfortably repositioned.

Finally, attach hanging loops on the back of the Painting board and arrange your Stretched Canvas-ensemble on the wall.
