Prepare the stretcher frame
To set the scene for the Quilling flowers in the best possible way, create a delicate background for the picture using acrylic paints and painting sponge in shades of blue: first mix a light shade of blue from cobalt blue, turquoise and titanium white and apply it roughly using the sponge with the wipe look. The wipe optics should be carried out quiet "nice and wild", this provides a more exciting color result on the stretcher.
With the same sponge, the color is now dabbed onto the center of the stretcher. Add some mixed white to the edges of the paint area directly from the tube onto the stretcher and work the paint into a gradient with the sponge.
Making paper flowers with the quilling technique
