First, paint the terracotta pots with grey-brown craft paint. Important: It is best to apply 3 coats so that the paint covers well. The individual layers of paint should always be completely dry before applying another.
In the next step, you can decide whether you want to use the moose as a decorative object or as a gift wrapping. Or you can do as we did in our example and make both versions.
Variant decorative object:
1. After the base colour has dried, place the terracotta pots on the table with the opening facing downwards. Now tie the bow at the bottom of the rim. If necessary, you can glue the bow on at certain points. Simply shorten the ends if they are too long.
2. Now transfer the pattern for the ears onto the craft felt. Cut them out with sharp scissors. Apply a dot of hot glue to the lower ends of the ears and glue them together. This makes them look more plastic. Then glue on the ears and also the eyes and pompom nose.
3. Finally, bend the antlers out of chenille wire. To do this, cut 2 x 6 cm pieces. Wrap these two pieces around the ends of the remaining chenille wire. Now twist the chenille wire into a spiral in the middle and glue it onto the terracotta pot.
Variation gift wrappings:
1. first repeat step 2 from the decorative object variation.
2. now bend the antlers. Cut a piece of chenille wire in half. Wrap one chenille piece around the other so that you have one antler each. Glue the finished antlers to the inside of the terracotta pots.
3. Finally, fill the pots. Either place small boxes inside or fill a VBS bag with a drawstring and place it inside the pot.
